Gabriel joined us as a Customer Service Executive at Huber’s Bistro. You might know him as one whose hair is always in place and one with a broad smile. At the bistro where we serve home-style dishes prepared with gourmet ingredients from our butchery, Gabriel helps our customers with their orders and makes them feel comfortable.

In 1999, back home in Manila, Gabriel embarked on a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Three years into the course, he wanted out. He realized that he had no interest whatsoever in journalism. His family, aware of his keen interest in food and hospitality, then suggested that he take up a major in hotel and restaurant management. And so he did.

In February 2006, he was sent to Singapore by his university for an internship program as kitchen staff in one of the restaurants in Sentosa. He was subsequently offered a position in one of the hotels in Singapore. In mid 2014, he joined Huber’s Butchery, bringing with him more than 7 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Gabriel comes from a big family with 4 siblings, all of whom are currently in the Philippines with his parents. His favourite foods : pizza, pasta and pesto! During his free time, Gabriel makes an effort to travel to East Coast Park from his home at Serangoon for rollerblading or to Kallang for ice-skating. He hopes to take up a master’s degree soon so as to fulfil his dream of being a lecturer.
