Roy Ser - 1st Aug 2016

Roy, our Delivery Manager for the wholesale division, moved into his matrimonial home in Punggol just six months ago. Roy and his wife married in 2012 after dating for eight years. They were acquainted when he was just 13; both of them used to hang out with the same group of friends after school. As the years went on, the group grew smaller and before long, it was just the two of them.
A typical work day for Roy starts at 8.30am and finishes at about 6pm, depending on the wholesale delivery load for the day. There have been days when he knocks off before 6 and there are also days when he has to work past 9pm. As the manager to more than 10 wholesale drivers, Roy allocates the delivery load so that every order reaches its destination efficiently. When any one of his subordinates is away, Roy stands in to make sure there is no down time.

Due to the unpredictability of his work schedule, Roy finds it hard to prepare weeknights dinner. There had been occasions when he had all the ingredients prepared in the fridge for a home-cooked meal, only to knock off late several nights in a row. He ended up having to send all the ingredients to the bin. This happened a few times until he made the decision to eat out every week night instead of making attempts to prepare a home-cooked meal.
Owing to the long hours at work, Roy enjoys chilling out at home with the dvd player running. A can of chilled Heineken beer, along with his favourite food such as salted egg yolk crab, steaks or tomato-based spaghetti, will complete his evening!
