Chia Hwee is on the sales admin team
Chia Hwee, one of the members on the sales admin team, joined us in January 2012. Trained in accounting, Chia Hwee was put in charge of a wide spectrum of accounting activities in a large firm prior to joining Huber’s. The hours were long and the culture harsh. These factors, coupled with having to travel back and forth Johor Bahru (where her home is) took a toil on her health. Several months later, a vacancy opened up at Huber’s and she moved.

The sales admin team processes every sales order, and prints out the invoices required for every wholesale order. The team has to do so promptly as the delivery drivers can only start the day with the necessary invoices required for the deliveries. All 6 of them in the team, including Chia Hwee, often have to work under immense pressure as the drivers wait anxiously for the invoices. After all, the drivers have deadlines to meet and they are the ones who have to deal with irate chefs should they arrive late.
Apart from processing sales orders, Chia Hwee and the team also has to take phone orders, email orders, SMS and whatapp orders, see to phone enquiries, feedback from wholesale customers, product returns and other customer service. Though the demands of work can be a drag, Chia Hwee enjoys working here than anywhere else for she enjoys an amicable relationship with the delivery drivers and the rest of them in the sales admin team.
Over the weekends, she enjoys a game or two of badminton. Keenly aware of the detrimental effects of being on a swivel chair Monday to Friday, she makes an effort to join her husband, friends and neighbours for a weekly game. Living with her in-laws at the moment, Chia Hwee also makes a trip home to her parents’ place at least once a week. It is a good thing that her parents’ place is only a 15 minutes’ drive from her in-laws’ place!
