Carolyn - 15th May 2017
Carolyn, our bubbly packer at the factory, came to
Singapore alone in 2004 from Sumatra, Indonesia. Many of her friends
were already working in Singapore at that time and that encouraged her to re-locate. It was really difficult for her to find a job then. In 2006,
she met her Singaporean husband and they got married not long after. After her
marriage, she was a homemaker but not for long as she found a job as a
hairdresser in a salon. Although she enjoyed her job of making people pretty, her
working hours were long and inflexible. She quit her job after three years.
Carolyn started her journey with us in 2012 when her auntie told her about Huber’s. She enjoys her time here in Huber’s as all the colleagues are nice and fun. There was not a day when she feels dull working here, as she enjoys amicable relationships with all her colleagues. Carolyn is happy that the working hours in Huber’s allows her to go to church every Sunday and to meet up with her friends.

Carolyn likes to travel a lot. She has been to places
like Taiwan, China, Australia and many more. Her favourite country is Australia
because the weather there gives her an opportunity to put on nice winter clothes and take
nice photos. Even though Carolyn is a foodie, she dislikes cooking. She said
she is not a good cook, but will still cook for her husband sometimes. She is a
big seafood lover and her favourite seafood is scallops.
