Gin Tasting - 6th Jun 2017

Come by to Huber’s Butchery for
a gin tasting this Saturday, 10th June! The session will include a
tasting of 10 different gins served with tonic, our ginger ale or straight up if you like.

Snooth, with taste of fruits, flowers and spices.
Williams
Extra Dry Gin
With taste of orange zest, freshly harvested herbs, fresh mints, apricot kennel, coriander and pepper.
Forest
Winter Gin
Slightly sweet, fruity taste of juniper berries and citrus.
West
Winds, The Sabre
Incorporating
a strong undercurrent of citrus weaving through twelve spices and botanicals including
juniper, lemon myrtle, lime peel and wattle seed.
Monkey 47 Gin
Incorporating 47 ingredients, this is a robust and powerful gin with plenty of spices, fruits and herbs.
Monkey
47 Sloe Gin
A
mix of earthy, tangy juniper with rich, sweet red berries and a hint of almond.
Cotswold
Dry Gin
Made
with juniper, coriander and angelica root macerated in pure wheat spirit
for 24 hours. Also, includes bay leaf, grapefruit, lime, black pepper, cardamom
seed and Cotswolds lavender.
Napue
Rye Gin
Made from a rye distillate
in which plants such as queen-of-the-meadow, sea buckthorn berries, birch
leaves and cranberries. Kiwi
on the palate, followed by juniper, pine and nutmeg, developing into mustard
seeds and sage.
Koskue
Barrel Aged Rye Gin
The
opening is extremely refined and smooth. First, the spices and the juniper,
with a hint of citrus zest, precede delicately woody. The palate gradually takes on a vanilla-scented aspect
followed by fresh walnuts and plums.
Le
Gin
The nose opens with wafts of apple. The
palate is more floral with blackcurrants, raspberries, and apple blossom.
