Zhi Cheng, our packer in the factory left his hometown,
Shandong in China in 2012 when he was just 21 years old. With the help of an
agent in China, Zhi Cheng got a job here at Huber’s. He was looking froward to move as he had heard wonderful stories from his friends who came.
Zhi Cheng starts work at 7am. His job includes packing all the items
prepared by the production department. He
loves his job and feels very lucky to have a bunch of fun and helpful
colleagues. BBQ parties and KTV sessions are common activities in his department.
Zhi Cheng got married last year to his hometown
sweetheart! They were together for quite some time and he popped the
question last year. They had a wedding conducted in Shandong and the newly-wed
couple is now living in Singapore. Needless to say, he is a happier man with his wife by his side. He mentioned that it is better to have
his wife here with him so that he’s not that homesick. Moreover, she is able to
whip up several Shandong dishes whenever he craves for any of them.
Zhi Cheng enjoys sports. He swims, jogs and plays the badminton. The cold weather in
Shandong isn't conducive for such outdoor sports and it is one of the reasons why he likes Singapore—the weather!
