Stanley - 4th Jul 2018
"The working culture at Huber's lured me back", Stanley, Huber's wholesale production manager says.
Stanley joined Huber's in 2008 as a butcher. Four years later, he wanted to try something different so he left and worked for various companies in the same industry including a chicken slaughter house and various food suppliers. Job-hopping from one company to
another, he realised how much he missed working at Huber’s and the bosses, Ryan and Andre, whom Stanley prefers to call “The
Dynamic Duo”.
Stanley gets up at the
crack of dawn every morning and the 1½ hours traveling time from his house to the factory never bothered him. He is currently in-charge of all the slicing and mincing
orders. As a production manager, his job involves a lot of planning
and job delegation. He ensures things run smoothly in his department and pays attention to all the items produced before they are delivered.
15 years ago, Stanley threw caution to the wind and dated his colleague. They met at his former workplace when he was working as a butcher and she a pastry trainee. They dated for 6 years before he popped the question.
Now, Stanley is a father to two adorable boys, age 8 and 5. His family’s favourite
past time is cycling. The whole family cycles from home in Punggol to Serangoon or Kovan every weekend to have
breakfast. Of course, either he or his wife has to pillion
their youngest as he’s still learning how to cycle.

Stanley and his family
On top of the weekly cycling trips with his family, Stanley also cycles from his house to Tanah Merah Coast Road. Besides cycling, hunting
for good ‘makan’ places is also one of his hobbies. His favourite
place to go to is still Chinatown Complex Market and Food Centre. Stanley hopes to retire in the outskirts of Thailand or Malaysia where the pace of life is slower and is much peaceful.
