Tiam - 7th Sep 2018
Tiam, our Senior Butcher from the wholesale division joined Huber’s in 2015. He was working in a nightclub back in his hometown, Malacca. Jaded with that lifestyle of having to work late hours, he threw caution to the wind and took on his childhood friend, Chun Hui's (whom we featured last month) advice - he applied for jobs in Singapore.
Tiam is grateful to be given a job at Huber's as he has no prior relevant experience. His main job is to produce our in-house hams. Having worked here for almost 4 years, Tiam has familiarised himself all the hams and cold-cuts. Thanks to his colleagues, most of whom are formerly chefs,
Tiam's interest in cooking is piqued. He is looking forward to getting his hands dirty as he just moved and his new landlord allows cooking. His new place is just a stone’s throw away from the factory.

Tiam swings by his sister's place, where his mother is staying at now, every Saturday. She is currently in Singapore to babysit Tiam's niece as his sister is a working mom. He really appreciates the time spent together with his family.
Tiam also makes an effort to go back to Malacca to visit his dad, brother and buddies.
