Anbalagan Redimaran - 1st Apr 2020

The powerful
Anbalagan, or Anba as we affectionately call him here, is a
24-year-old Junior Customer Service Officer at our Bistro (the
youngest there!). He has been with us for 4 years and counting.
Before joining Huber’s, Anba had been
studying to earn his diploma in Culinary Arts in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia, as well as interning as a kitchen staff in 2 other
restaurants in Singapore. Anba immerses himself in the culinary world
whenever he can, watching videos on cooking and wine sommelier
whenever he’s not trying out recipes for himself and his family.
His deep knowledge on all things food and wine proves to be more than
helpful when recommending different menu items to our Bistro patrons.

---------------------------------
What is your favourite dish
from the bistro and what is your favourite product from the
butchery?
The roast beef
sandwich from the bistro’s regular menu, because I love the pairing
between the meat and the sauce. The Thomy mayonnaise also makes a
great compliment for all our dishes, especially with the French fries.
What’s the most rewarding
part of working at Huber’s Bistro?
Definitely the fond
memories of working together with colleagues and creating sweet
memories with the Bistro customers. I’ve also gained great amount
of knowledge from other, more-experienced colleagues.
Now’s not exactly a good time
for heading to gyms. Any recommendations on how to keep fit just
working out at home?
Get high quality
meats and salads from Huber’s Butchery! And do simple workouts such
as squats, push-ups, and sit-ups. etc, according to your limits.
That’s how I keep myself fit and energetic!
What’s the one song that
always gets you pumped up and energetic for the day?
Ithu Oru Pon Malai
Pozhutu from Nizhalgal (a 1980 Tamil film), one of my favourite Tamil
songs which reminds me of sweet memories and keeps me in a good mood
always.
What is the motto you live your
life by?
Always keep your
passion alive in all situations, and to always show the good
qualities in you.
Who is your biggest
inspiration?
My father, Mr
Redimaran Periakannan. He showed me what the meaning of life is.
If you can only bring three
things to stay alone at a deserted island for one month, what would
these be?
I’ll bring my
confidence in believing I can survive alone, independence (managing
myself), and an undying optimism to never give up even in the face of
failure!
