It is John Chan’s mission to live life to the fullest. John has
been a part of Huber’s production team for more than 7 years (!), specializing
in vacuum seal packing and sausage casing. A passionate and courageous soul,
John is not afraid to express himself creatively and artistically. Both a
dancer and a musician, John’s main passion lies in drumming; it is, for him, a
way to experience the rhythm and groove of life, just as dancing is. Above all,
John deeply values the companionship of his family, whose great support and
love have accompanied John throughout all of his endeavours.

1. As part of Huber’s production team, you sometimes get to
have a little meat tasting session and experience many flavours of different meat
items. Care to tell us your favourite?
All Huber’s items are very tasty, but my favourite is the Chipolata!
2. I’ve heard that you are into playing drums! Any particular
genre you like to play?
Any genre is awesome, as long as there are drums in it! My
favourite artists to play along with are Linkin Park and Black Eyed Peas.
3. Are you a dog person or a cat person?
I'm a dog person, because we've never had cats! One of my favourite
activities is walking my dog, Jaan, who makes for such a great companionship
and trustworthy partner. He is especially friendly even with strangers.
4. What are some of your favourite activities outside of Huber’s?
I quite enjoy horseback riding as I used to take lessons! I
also really enjoy taking care of children and before COVID-19, I was actually a
Sunday School Assistant at my church, where I also play the drums for the
church band!
At home, I’d spend my time watching many different movies
and shows – my favourite currently is the Fast & Furious series.
5. Is there one particular recipe that you love and will never
get tired of?
I particularly love Spaghetti Vongole – a really delicious
pasta recipe with clams, olive oil, and garlic.
6. One last question – what’s THE one song that you think
everyone should hear?
Us Against the World by Westlife. It’s a favourite song of
mine that feels really great to just listen or even sing along to.
