Sotomango Cecille Consignado - 1st Jul 2020

If you have ever visited Huber’s Bistro, you may have
encountered an extraordinarily warm and inviting personality in Sotomango
Cecille Consignado. Cecille has been the Customer Service Officer of Huber’s
Butchery and Bistro for close to three years, each day greeting customers with
her charm and winning smile!
Cecille earned a bachelor in Banking and Finance at
Polytechnic University of the Philippines before moving to Singapore, where she
has since lived for ten years. Cecille is passionate in a lot of things; her
love for singing and dancing is already so infectious even from the short
10-minute chat with her. Above all, Cecille is a deeply compassionate mother to
her 15-year-old son, in which she makes it a point to work for his happiness,
first and foremost.
Read on to learn more about Cecille and her positive outlook
on life!

1. What’s the most memorable
experience you’ve had with our Bistro patrons?
Although no particular story comes to mind, I truly
believe that every moment of serving customers can be special. When you give
every one of them extra attention and exceed their expectations, it can add a
personal touch to the whole experience.
2. Is there any one item in our
Bistro menu that you personally like the most?
Definitely the braised grain-fed bone-in beef short ribs!
One word – succulent. Whenever a customer asks what I would recommend to them,
I always say, “try the short ribs!” – positive feedback guaranteed.
3. Tell us about your go-to
recipe that you always enjoy cooking, and what makes the dish so special!
I don’t really cook much, but my son loves chicken fillet
and I’m more than happy to cook for him! As for me, I like no-fuss food that
takes little time to prepare, and so I’d get sausages, hams, and cheeses from
Huber’s Butchery.
4. We’re slowly moving into the
phase 3 of reopening - is there a place in Singapore that you just can’t wait
to visit again?
I have been living in Singapore for 10 years, so I’ve been
to a lot of places here. But if there’s one place that I really can’t wait
to go back to, it would be my church - Church of The Immaculate Heart of Mary
in Serangoon. I love the feeling of peace and serenity that the church gives.
5. Someone hands you the
microphone at a karaoke, what song would you choose to sing your heart out?
Considering the condition of the world we’re living in right
now, I would choose Heal the World by Michael Jackson.
6. I’ve heard that you’re into
dancing, is there any particular style or genre that you’re into?
I love modern dancing because there is a lot of room to
express yourself, more so compared to classical ballet!
7. Any closing words you’d like
to say to our readers?
We live in a world full of uncertainties, where we will
never know what lies ahead. In the face of this, I believe that the only thing
we can do and is the most important one – to spread peace and love for
humanity.
