The Donatsch family has owned and operated the Donatsch wine
estate in Malans, Switzerland for 5 generations – 120 years of dedication in
the making! The family business has since truly revolutionized Swiss
viticulture. Take Martin Donatsch who, much like his father Thomas Donatsch,
takes great delight in experimentation and has been honoured as the Pinot Noir
world champion two times, in 2010 and 2011. The estate’s top wines are now an
intrinsic part of the Swiss culinary world and likewise around the world.
Producing World-Class Swiss Wine

quality, which we achieve by applying strict quality control in the vineyards
and harvesting healthy grapes for pressing in the cellar.”
The Donatsch family believes that the quality of the grapes
must be right from the very beginning in order to produce top wines. On top of
having Malans' excellent climate, their devoted attention to the ground and
vines is second to none; 4.5 hectares (11.12 acres) of vineyards belonging to
the Domaine Donatsch are ensured healthy environment with highly selective
types of grapes grown, such that they may produce top-class single vineyard
wines. The Pinot varieties thrive particularly well in Malans, ranging from Pinot
noir, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay to rarities like Completer,
Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Find out what the best of wine

Donatsch Passion Pinot Noir
The Donatsch's unfiltered Passion Pinot Noir offers a
beautifully clear, fresh and aromatic bouquet of dark and red berries,
cherries, crushed stones and peppers intertwined with a noble toast aroma, very
pure and coolish and fascinatingly precise. The palate was lush, fresh and
fleshy, very intense yet highly elegant, seamless, pure and vital, with
remarkable acidity and ripe, perfectly extracted, silky tannins. A beautifully
refreshing and pleasant Pinot Noir from what the Donatsch family considered as
the greatest vintage since 1947.
Donatsch Completer
The Donatsch Completer Malanserrebe displays a radiant
golden-yellow color and reflects the warm vintage on the nose. Deep, ripe and
intense yet super mineral, refined and complex on the lemon-scented and floral
nose, this is a full-bodied, round and lush, very concentrated but juicy yet
fine, persistently firm Malanser that reveals excellent purity and elegance
with sustainable mineral freshness, salt and grippy phenolics. Powerful yet
fascinating.
Donatsch Passion Chardonnay
The Passion Chardonnay is intense in color and aromas: warm,
ripe and rich. On the palate, this is a very elegant, refreshing, tight and
densely woven Chardonnay with good tension and a good long, juicy and salty
finish. This is a terroir wine par excellence, indicating excellent aging
potential.
