The Abbaye produces its specialty Belgian beer following the traditional brewing arts of its founders, the Cistercian monks of Aulne Abbey. Traditional high fermentation abbey beers, refermented in the bottle, brewed using the best hops and malts.
Like many Belgian abbeys, the Cistercian’s of Aulne Abbey had been brewing their own beer since the Middle Ages. Strong beers like Blonde and Brune were served on special occasions only while lighter beers were for daily consumption.
