Peng Yanlei - 1st Sep 2015

Born in China, Peng Yanlei came to Singapore in 2007 to make a living. He joined a sausage-making company for two years and came to Huber’s in 2009. He started off at Huber’s in the sausage making department and was rotated to the department that produces ham several months ago. By now, you might have guessed that Peng works from the factory at Pandan Loop.
Peng is here alone in Singapore while his family continues to live in Shandong, north-eastern part of China. He returns once every year to visit his mother, sister, wife and daughter. Peng’s working hours are from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday and from 7am to 11.30am on Saturday therefore he makes it back in time daily to prepare dinner.
Peng enjoys swimming, fishing, having a strong opponent at a game of Chinese chess, and watching car races. He has always liked watching car races, he said. Therefore, he looks forward to a driving license that allows him to drive (and not race). Peng likes seafood and will stay away from bittergounds and anything bitter!
