Chan Chi Wai - 1st Nov 2015

Chi Wai (we call him by his family name, Chan) was a full-time photographer until digital photography took the world by storm. Seeing that digital photography would be a threat to his career, he promptly sold his equipment and joined the hospitality industry as kitchen help. 8 years on and he joined Huber’s in December 2009.

Chan is in charge of all the slicing jobs in the factory where we portion and pack meats and meat products for our wholesale customers. He tastes the cold-cuts from time to time so as to ensure a consistent quality. Since he has been working with cold-cuts for several years, he could tell if something has gone wrong just by sight.
Chan starts at 7am Monday to Saturday and knocks off at 5pm on weekdays, reaching home at about 6.40pm after multiple transfers on the public transport to get to his home in Punggol. He then prepares dinner for the family. It is usually already 7.30pm by the time the family gathers for dinner together. Chan is an advocator of home-cooked meals, and healthy lifestyle therefore he insists on cooking wholesome meals everyday for his family. As you can guess, Chan spends his free time doing sports like badminton, football and jogging.
His favourite foods are fruits, vegetables, manufactured nutrition drinks and fish. His current weight is 50kg.
