Char Siew Pork


For 30 servings

3kg Canadian pork shoulder
4 tbsp hoisin sauce
3 tbsp Chinese wine
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
Pepper to taste

Cooking Method

  1. Cut the pork shoulder length wise into several strips. 

  2. Mix all the ingredients together and leave to marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. 

  3. Then roast in the oven at 150°C for 20 minutes. 

  4. Then bring the temperature up to 200 to 220°C, grill function/ fan-forced, and cook for another 10 to 20 minutes to get it charred on the outside. 

  5. Serve with continental cucumber and belachan chilli.
