September is usually the month when the entire nation prepares for the big F1 Singapore Grand Prix event but it was cancelled again this year. On a happier note, it's World Salami Day on 7th September and this day is celebrated by salami lovers worldwide – some even go as far as embarking on a salami exploration trip in Italy just to have a taste of different types of salami! I don't think we will be doing that this year so the next best thing is to pop by Huber's Butchery to try our large selection of imported and house-made salami. We bring you salami from Spain, France, Australia, Germany and Hungary (available mid-September), as well as Huber's salami stick (landjäger), beef salami and pepperoni made right here in our factory! 😉

Hooray! We won the bid for 22 Dempsey Road and are here to stay.


Thank you for your kind support and words of encouragement over the last few months. With this new lease, we are aiming to make this store and location even better than before.


There are certainly lots of new and exciting plans which will commence next year when the new lease begins. *think of picnics in a beautiful garden by the waterfall* But first off, we will be working on our service over the next few months as we look forward to being of service to you for many more years to come!

South African Wine

When we think of wine from South Africa, we usually think of chenin black as South Africa is well known to make the some of the best wines out of this varietal! Approximately 20% of wine production there is chenin blanc.

Meet Pragalathan Ganesan, our butcher in the factory. Everyone calls him Prapa in short. He has always wanted to be a butcher since college days and an opportunity came one day and he decided to send in his job application. The rest is then history...


Salami don't just belong on charcuterie platters, there are many ways we can use salami in recipes too! Here we used thinly sliced winter salami "carpaccio" to wrap arugula leaves and serve with capers.


The bitterness of arugula and tartness of capers offer the perfect balance to the rich, fatty, melt-in-your-mouth salami, making this a delightful appetiser.
