Lewis joined our wholesale division in 2011 after six years in Singapore, vacating his position as a chef in a restaurant at Biopolis. He came to Singapore at the age of 20 from Kluang, Central Johor and worked his way up from a cook to a chef. In 2011, he was thirsty for a new environment and eager to pick up new skills. He then left the kitchen for Huber’s wholesale division.
Five years on, Lewis is now our Senior Butcher Supervisor after having been attached to every department in our wholesale division. He is currently in the production department, handling the bowl cutter every work day (a gigantic mixing bowl to prepare emulsion for sausages and anything that requires mixing). He is also assistant to the Production Manager, paying attention to every item produced in our factory.

Lewis returns home to Kluang at least once a month to visit his mother who is living alone. Though so, his mother has a group of friends there who gathers every day for meals and recreation. To add to that, Lewis makes it a point to chat with her on the phone every day. Apart from his mother, his younger sister, who is eight years his junior, is also living in Kluang.
Lewis married his girlfriend of four years in 2010 when he was 25. He enjoys jogging and cooking and looks forward to having his own place soon so that he can have access to a well equipped kitchen! It seems like he will be doing a lot of cooking when that happens as he claims he enjoys all types of cuisines (except game meat)!
