Having graduated with a degree in Food Science and Technology from
NUS, Jace’s passion for food spurred him on to look for a job in the food
industry. This led to him joining Huber’s as a food safety officer in 2012.
Jace is the one who ensures all the products from Huber’s are
in a safe and hygienic manner for our customers. During his first year in
Huber’s, his main job was to design and then implement a system that can ensure
the quality and safety of the foods during manufacture, distribution and
retailing.
He felt a sense of satisfaction that after all the trials and tribulations, Huber’s finally got its ISO 22,000 certificate in 2014. But, Jace still
feels that the system has some flaws and new problems will always emerge. He
really loves what he is doing in Huber’s as it gives him the opportunity to
grow, to learn and he likes to be challenged.

Jace has a strong interest in analogue photography, his first film camera was a Nikon FM10. He loves the process of developing his own films in the dark room. Another favourite hobby oh his is playing Agricola with his friends.
It is a farming board game, where they compete to see
who has the most valuable land. Besides Agricola, he also likes to play fantasy theme
board games. He used to play them in a board game café, but now Jace will invite his friends to play at home instead. Jace said he can be quite an elitist when he's playing the board games.

On regular days,
Jace will just stay at home with his wife and his 4-month-old daughter.
As a new dad, he said there are still many things to learn. Getting a quick nap
is always in the schedule as he doesn’t get as much sleep as before. He said he will get the hang of it, slowly but surely. To him, family is the most
important and spending time with them is always the best thing to do.
